A group of fabulous West Island women have banded together as The West Island Flood Volunteers to try to help out those affected by the flood and have decided  to throw a special Mother’s Day Event for Moms who have been affected by flooding.

Their feeling is that all of the moms, grandmas, aunts, etc, be able to enjoy a warm and special Mother’s day despite the difficult circumstances.

The Holiday Inn Pointe Claire has graciously given them a banquet room, and they have been getting delicious food donations for the event, and a hoping for some nice surprises too.

They will be able to accommodate 100 guests, and in case you are wondering –  there is no charge for the Moms to attend.

Before you ask, they are grateful to have more than enough volunteers 🙂 Right now they just want to let Moms affected by flooding know that they are invited and they ask that you please spread the word to all of the affected communities.
