INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 lbs. minced meat
1 Tbsp. allspice
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 Tbsp chicken soup mix (powder)
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. white pepper
2 Tbsp olive oil
4-5 c. water
1 c. frozen peas
METHOD
Mix together meat, allspice, cinnamon, soup mix, salt & pepper in a bowl
- Form meatballs
- Place olive oil in large pot.
- Add 1/2 of the meatballs.
- Sauté gently, over medium-high heat, until beginning to brown.
- Add remaining meatballs & so the same.
- Cover with water
- Bring to a boil & then reduce to medium heat.
- Simmer, covered, for 1 hour.
- Add peas.
- Simmer 15-20 minutes longer until peas turn dark green.
- Serve with rice
Yield: about 3 dozen meatballs
