LOL with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 – in Theatres Today!

My family had the opportunity to attend the advanced screening of Marvel Studios’ “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” on Wednesday night and we all really enjoyed it. I actually did not expect SO MUCH LAUGHTER, but we really did LOL – A LOT – as did the entire audience 🙂

We could discuss the action and adventure- there was plenty, and some of the visuals were actually stunning,  but what did we really LOVE about the movie?

BABY GROOT!!!

OMG…to say ‘so cute’ is an understatement, so you’ll have to see for yourself but OMG!

Just as with the first ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ , we enjoyed great music that brought the parental generation way back to the days of the ‘Walkman’ 🙂

Set to the all-new sonic backdrop of Awesome Mixtape #2, the film continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mystery of Peter Quill’s true parentage.

While I was familiar with the cast of the first movie, I did not familiarize myself with the entire cast before going in to watch and had a few nice surprises when the screen was graced by the likes of Kurt Russell and Sylvester Stallone 🙂

I see the movie as directed towards teens & up, and as such, I feel it worthy of mention there is definitely a lot of ‘language’ in this movie as well as violence and some sexual references (thus the PG rating).  That said, in our case, being that 3 out of our 4 kids are in their teens, and the youngest is a tween, we were ok with it. That said, as always I feel it important to share with you, and recommend checking a site like commonsensemedia.org to get the info you need to decide if a movie is right for your family.

My kids were beyond excited to see this and were not disappointed 🙂 All of their friends are talking about going. If you have teens, or even older tweens, they will likely love it too 😉

Marvel Studios’ “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” opens in theatres today May 5, 2017.

Wishing you a weekend that’s out-of-this-world 😉
