Disney’s “A Wrinkle In Time” – a New Trailer and a Canadian Connection ;)

I don’t often share new trailers on the blog but I HAD to share this one because I absolutely cannot wait to see Disney’s “A Wrinkle in Time” which is set to open in theatres on March 9, 2018.

I am also particularly pumped that this trailer is set to ‘Scars to Your Beautiful’ performed by Canada’s very own Alessia Cara!  Those of you who read regularly know that I LOVE Alessia Cara and that I have encouraged parents everywhere to play her songs in their cars- to treat their kids to her music. Listen to her words and you’ll understand why…She uses her talent and her platform to EMPOWER youth. It does not surprise me for an instant that Disney has chosen her song for this movie.

Wondering what the film is about?

It’s an epic adventure based on Madeleine L’Engle’s timeless classic which takes audiences across dimensions of time and space, examining the nature of darkness versus light and, ultimately, the triumph of love. Through one girl’s transformative journey led by three celestial guides, we discover that strength comes from embracing one’s individuality and that the best way to triumph over fear is to travel by one’s own light.

In the hands of the master storytellers at Walt Disney Studios, and directed by Emmy® winner and Oscar®and Golden Globe® nominee Ava DuVernay from a screenplay by Oscar winner Jennifer Lee, I have great expectations of this film 😉 Disney’s “A Wrinkle in Time” combines mystery and adventure, fantasy and science, family and empowerment all set to a backdrop of out-of-this-world scenery, costumery and I’ll say it…Disney Magic 🙂

Also, in case you haven’t seen WHO is starring in this upcoming sure-to-be masterpiece…Check it out :  Two-time Academy Award® nominee Oprah Winfrey, (yes, OPRAH!!!), Oscar® and Emmy® winner Reese Witherspoon, Emmy nominee Mindy Kaling, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Michael Peňa and introducing Storm Reid, with two-time Emmy winner Zach Galifianakis and Emmy nominee Chris Pine.

Watch the trailer…see what you think…and then mark your calendars for March 9, 2018 because I know that I want to see it as soon as it comes out if I can’t manage a way to see it even SOONER!!!
