Air Fryer Pizza with Two-Ingredient Dough (WW-friendly!)

When I was researching different Air Fryer recipes to try for my review of the Hamilton Beach Air Fryer, I was surprised to come across pizza as something to prepare in the Air Fryer.  What a fantastic idea for the kids to prep themselves quick & easy personal pizzas!

I found a recipe for pita pizzas as well as one for pizza using traditional dough…then I thought to myself, I wonder how this would come out using that 2-ingredient dough that everyone at WW (weight Watchers) Canada is talking about….So I proceeded to try it and the kids LOVED it! The best part is that it is so EASY to make that the kids can do it themselves- even making the dough! It involves only 2 ingredients: Self-rising flour ( I bought ‘Brodie’ brand at the supermarket.) and nonfat (aka 0%) PLAIN greek yogurt.

For those of you who are living the WW lifestyle, this recipe makes 4 personal pizza crusts valued at 3 points each. I will let you calculate the points for your cheese, sauce and toppings as there can be variations depending on the type and quantity that you use.

Bonus benefit, while the pizza is cooking, your kitchen will smell DELICIOUS!!!!

Here’s the recipe:

Air Fryer Pizza with 2-Ingredient Dough

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 c. nonfat (0%)  PLAIN greek yogurt
  • approximately 1/2 c. of your favourite tomato sauce or pizza sauce
  • 1 c. of shredded mozzarella (or more if you like) (I use part-skim)
  • toppings as desired ( I only tried cheese-only but am sure toppings would be fine)
  • non-stick spray
  • NOTE: If you don’t want to make 4 crusts, just cut the recipe as desired.  each pizza = 1/4c. self rising flour + 1/4 c. nonfat PLAIN greek yogurt

Method:

  • Mix & knead a few minutes).
  • Cut dough ball into 4
  • Roll into 4 individual pizzas on a floured surface.  ( Use additional flour if dough is too sticky.)
  • Spray the fryer basket
  • Place the first dough circle into the basket
  • Carefully add approximately 2 Tbsp. tomato sauce and using a ladle, spread around to cover the pizza

  • Carefully sprinkle 1/4 c. mozzarella over top
  • Add toppings if desired
  • Cook at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes.
  • Edges will be crispy, cheese will be golden and melted, bottom will be soft and if your kids have similar taste to mine, they will love it!
  • Repeat for the remaining 3 pizzas
  • NOTE: The reason you top the pizzas in the fryer is that if you do so prior to placing them in the basket, the cheese and sauce will likely slip off.
