It’s no secret that I am a very proud Montrealer and that I love our beautiful city.
Well, the holiday season, TELUS is encouraging is inviting Montrealers to spread some Montreal magic on social media and share posts about their favourite things, secret go-to spots or most memorable moments.
Every time the #MagieMTL hashtag is used between December 5 and 31, TELUS will donate $1 to the Étincelles program at Fondation du Centre jeunesse de Montréal, which helps make the holidays magical for kids.
“Every child deserves to dream. Unfortunately, children who come through the Centre jeunesse de Montréal rarely get the chance to experience those moments of wonder,” notes Isabelle Levesque, Executive Director of Fondation du Centre jeunesse de Montréal. “Through life’s ups and downs, these kids show inspiring resilience and extraordinary potential. This holiday season, we want to give them those magical moments. Every share of the #MagieMTL hashtag counts and will enable children to enjoy dinner at a restaurant with a dear one, see a concert or sport game or go sledding during the holidays.”
As explained by Anne Belliveau, Senior Director, TELUS Marketing Communications, the initiative came about when the folks over at TELUS were “looking for an innovative way to highlight unforgettable moments and magical places in our beautiful city, especially during the holidays”.She added that “Whether they snap a photo while enjoying poutine at 3 a.m., skating under the stars or browsing through Christmas markets, Montrealers will have a platform to share the things they love and shine a spotlight on our beautiful city. Together, we can also give underprivileged kids a chance to enjoy a magical experience. TELUS will make a minimum $10,000 donation to Fondation du Centre jeunesse de Montréal on behalf of all Montrealers.”
Our family hasn’t gone downtown this month so I decided to share a magical holiday moment from last holiday season in Montreal when we visited the TELUS Christmas Market and the kids got to have Beaver Tails from the food truck.
Although there are only a few days left in until the end of December, I encourage you to share your #MagieMTL moments on social! It’s especially fun with all of the excitement of Montreal’s 375th 😉 ( Remember- if you only have a pic from a different year, you can share that, too!)
