RECALL: Hedstrom recalls Sensory Combo Pack

Product Description

This recall involves the Hedstrom Sensory Combo Pack. The packaging has “Sensory Combo” printed on the front with a picture of an infant. It includes 7 items; 3 – 12 sided foam dice, a 6″ orange PVC knobby ball, and 3 PVC sensory shaped items (hexagon, diamond, and clover). The product may be identified by UPC 0-33419-04517-5, the item number 1059395 is printed above the barcode and the product is recommended for infants over 6 months.

Hazard identified

The product may release small foam pieces when mouthed or chewed by an infant. The small pieces of foam may pose a choking hazard for infants and young children.

Health Canada has not received any report of consumer incidents or injuries related to the use of this product in Canada.

Hedstrom has received one report related to the separation of small foam pieces from the product in Canada. No injury was reported.

Number sold

Approximately 2,570 units were sold across the country at Costco Canada locations.

Time period sold

The recalled products were sold from July 2016 to August 2016.

What should you do

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled products and return them to your nearest Costco warehouse location for a full refund.

Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada.
