Realistic Resolution #4: Indulge in Something Binge-Worthy on Netflix :)

As part of my series of Realistic Resolutions, I thought why not include something to indulge in?  THAT is something that most of us can handle šŸ™‚

I have noticed that when I get together with friends many people ask ā€œWhat is worth ā€˜startingā€™ on Netflix?ā€œ. Iā€™ve noticed the same question in my Facebook feed more than once.

I figured this would be a great way to share some of what I would consider Binge-worthy on Netflix in case some of you are wondering what to ā€˜startā€™ next šŸ™‚

Allow me to clarify that Binge-watching is not for everyone- but hereā€™s the thing- if you donā€™t want to / have time to ā€˜binge watchā€™, you donā€™t have toā€¦you can take it slowly šŸ™‚ The idea is that these shows are actually binge-worthy.

Here are some that my hubby and I really enjoyed.  ( I will share a list for families in a separate post).

Iā€™m not going to tell you what each is about ā€“ you can check that out on Netflixā€¦or you can do what my hubby & I did ā€“ just start watching because so many people said that it was great. We did and enjoyed figuring it out on our own šŸ™‚

The Good Wife - 9022457The Good Wife: This was our first-ever Netflix ā€œBingeā€ on spring break two years ago.  We couldnā€™t go to sleepā€¦ā€Just one more episodeā€¦ā€ and then ā€œOk- one more?!?ā€

Homeland - 21545348Homeland: It may take you an episode or two to get into, but you will be drawn in- itā€™s excellent. Truthfully some seasons are better than others but overall- very binge-worthy šŸ™‚

House of Cards - 21068638House of Cards: WARNING: No spoilers here but allow yourself to get over the disturbing scene at the very beginning (involves a dog). We actually turned off the show started Homeland because I couldnā€™t handle that scene.  A friend told me to get over it & go back, that Iā€™d love the show. I did. She was right šŸ™‚ )

Scandal-23041154Scandal: Our binge that began just before and continued through this past winter break ā€“ We were absolutely hooked!

The following are shows that we watched either on TV or via ā€˜boxed setsā€™ back in the dayā€¦all of them are VERY binge-worthy!

Heroes

Heros - 8423881

Lost

Lost - 8383869

X-Files

X-Files - 9993649

24

Greyā€™s Anatomy

So what will your binge be?  Also: Any recommendations for me and other readers?  Would love to hear from you!

Wishing you an indulgent binge šŸ˜‰

  1. 2 other favs: Daredevil (itā€™s surprisingly amazing) and an ā€œoldā€ classic, Breaking Bad. (Iā€™ve also heard Making of a Murderer is very addictive as well).

  2. ā€œRectifyā€ is riveting. All 3 seasons are on Netflix, and Season 4 will be aired in the summer. Whatā€™s cool about this show, besides the compelling characters, writing, and acting, is that it airs on an American cable channel on Thursdays and on Friday, the new episode is available for streaming on Netflix ā€“ but only in Canada.

ā€œWentworthā€ ā€“ a hard look at life in a womenā€™s prison in Australia. Dramatic story lines and it is extremely well written.

For the happier side, ā€œGilmore Girlsā€ is a great show. I only discovered it via Netflix. Iā€™ve watched it through twice.

The American version of ā€œThe Officeā€. Entirely re-watchable and som cringeworthy moments as well as giggles. Great storylines too.

Iā€™m about to start ā€œThe Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidtā€, a Netflix original about to go into its 2nd season. Iā€™ve heard great things about it.
