RECALL: London Drugs recalls Aluminum Expresso Coffee Maker (6 Cup)

london druug esspressoThis recall involves the London Drugs Aluminum Expresso Coffee Maker (6 Cup), which can be identified by the Model Number: GS02597 and UPC: 00068156974934. It is made of polished aluminum and has an upper and a lower chamber. The handle is a black, plastic like material.

Dimension of the full aluminum body is roughly 16 centimeters in height X 10 centimeters in width.

Under certain heating conditions, the handle on some units can melt causing a potential burn hazard to users.

Health Canada has not received any reports of consumer incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of this affected product.

London Drugs has received one report of the handle melting. No injuries have been reported.

The recalled products were sold from June 19, 2014 to March 9, 2016.

Consumers should immediately stop using the coffee maker and return the product to a London Drugs location for a full refund.
