Matzah Pizza has been a Passover classic in our home for years. That said, there are many ways to make it and Ihave actually been asked how I make mine. I figured that now is as good a time as any to share how we make it ‘chez nous’. It is a very easy recipe, and quantities listed are approximations- don’t be afraid to adjust to taste 🙂
Ingredients:
3 Matzah boards
3/8 – 1/2 c. tomato sauce
2-3 c. shredded cheese
toppings, as desired
Run each matzoh board quickly under water and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. (Break Matzah as needed to fit the shape of your baking sheet)
Spread thin layer of tomato sauce over the matzah and top with shredded cheesed toppings, if using.
Bake in a pre-heated 350 degree oven until cheese begins to bubble and turn golden
Remove from oven and slice using a knife or pizza cutter
Serve and enjoy!
Hope your family likes it as much as mine does 🙂
Tip: If you have leftover Matzah at the end of the holiday, it is my experience that Matzah Pizza is still an ‘acceptable’ meal by kids’ standards, even when Passover is over and done 😉
Happy pizza-making!
