On Thursday, May 31st, The Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation will celebrate its 13th edition of the ABC Ball for the Children’s

The Foundation’s most glamourous event and a highlight of the Montreal social calendar, the ABC Ball will take place at l’Arsenal, our city’s new & trendy venue in the heart of Griffintown. This year’s event will be especially memorable as it marks the closing of the $100-million Best Care for Children Campaign to build the new Montreal Children’s Hospital.

This year’s theme takes us back to the magical world of fairytales. “Dreams do come true” seems a particularly appropriate theme for The Children’s where they work at making dreams come true on a constant.  In fact, along those lines, I feel the need to share that a friend’s family has their daughter home and thriving, thank G-d, after a courageous battle with Leukemia, and The Children’s is where she fought much of that battle.

I will further share that this friend has just written & recorded a song entitled Dream Your Dreams as a tribute to his daughter’s courageous battle.  I am including the link for you to view the Youtube version. I promise it’s worth 3 minutes 14 seconds of your time.

At the time I write this post, about 670 seats of 700 are already sold. If you’re planning to go, then you should reserve your spot ASAP.

You may even want to suggest tickets to your man as an extra-special Mother’s Day Gift of a glamourous date night!  Pricey, yes –  but an awesome evening for an amazing cause. There will be a silent auction (The guys love those it seems 🙂 ) and fab swag bags to go home with.  Perhaps most importantly…remind him that tickets are partially tax deductible!

If attending the event isn’t in the cards, consider making a DONATION.  The Children’s is there for us whenever we need them, it’s up to us to support them in whatever capacity we can. Even the smallest donation helps to ensure that dreams continue to come true at the Montreal Children’s Hospital.
